2.0.0 update - missing features, high cpu usage

After update
- I dont know how to stop and start timer from keyboard
- I dont feel I know when the timer is running and when it is stopped
- very high CPU usage. each timer takes ~20% of CPU (so 3 timers take ~60% CPU)
- tested on Yosemite
- old version at least worked, and was clear to me how to operate it
